1. Theorie und Beschreibung:
  • Grundzüge unterschiedlicher Grammatiktheorien: `Schulgrammatik`, Strukturalismus, Generative Grammatik, Funktionale Grammatik, Kognitive Grammatik
2. Deutsch im Sprachvergleich:
  • Kontrastive Linguistik,
  • Grammatische Universalien,
  • Typologische Einordnung der deutschen Sprache
3. Grundprinzipien des Sprachwandels:
Entwicklungstendenzen der deutschen Sprache,
  • Grammatikalisierung,
  • Sprachliche Zweifelsfälle,
  • Orthographieprinzipien,
  • Rechtschreibreform(en),
  • Interpunktion.
