1. Geometrische Optik: Reflexion, Brechung, Totalreflexion, abbildende Systeme
2. Wellenoptik: Elektromagnetische Theorie des Lichtes, Polarisation, Ausbreitung von Licht, Interferenz und Beugung, Kohärenz, Interferometer, Auflösungsvermögen optischer Instrumente, Holographie
3. Licht in Materie: Absorption, Dispersion, Streuung, Verhalten an Grenzflächen, Doppelbrechung, optische Aktivität, nichtlineare Optik
4. Quantenoptik: Wellen- und Photonenbild, Schwarzkörperstrahlung, Laser
