(E) [Be capable of discussing major concepts and theories of Teaching English as a Foreign Language and applying them to issues of Anglo-American Studies.]
  • Kompetenz, Aspekte von Sprachbewusstsein, affektive und kognitive Variablen des Spracherwerbs, interkulturelle Kommunikation und interdisziplinäres Lernen mit sprachwissenschaftlichen, literarischen und kulturellen Prozessen in Beziehung zu setzen. (S) [Be able to relate language awareness, affective and cognitive variables of language acquisition, intercultural communication and interdisciplinary learning to linguistic, literary and cultural processes.]

  • Überblick über Konzeptionen und Theorien des Bereichs Fachdidaktik Englisch inklusive Erst- und Zweitsprachenerwerb, sprachwissenschaftlichen, psychologischen, neurologischen, literarischen und kulturellen Perspektiven. [Overview of major concepts and theories of didactics as well as of first and second language acquisition, including linguistic, psychological, neurological, literary and cultural perspectives.
  • Kritische Analyse und Transfer von Konzeptionen, Strategien und Fragestellungen von Fachdidaktik Englisch. [Critical analysis and transfer of concepts, strategies and issues of foreign language learning and teaching.]
