Learning objectives: -Knowledge of the role of institutions in an economic setting including how they are embedded in an overarching governance architecture -Understanding of institutions as essentially market-driven outcome with the aim to economize on transaction costs -Ability to make informed choices between alternative institutional arrangements from a theoretical and practical point of view in order to create effective institutions -Ability to analyze current problems from practice based on the knowledge acquired in the course |
