Comment/Description

Course outline:
This seminar addresses two different target groups, namely advanced students preparing for their final examinations or writing their thesis, and post-graduate students doing research.
Thus, on the one hand we shall be discussing matters of English-language linguistics that are relevant in preparing for the upcoming examinations. Apart from central issues in English linguistics, study techniques that may be helpful for the final examination will be dealt with.
On the other hand, the colloquium offers the possibility to present and discuss ongoing research in English-language linguistics ranging from state examination-/ master- or diploma theses to larger projects such as PhD- or post-doctoral theses.
