Comment/Description

Having once arrived in Germany as a Master’s student myself and have been working as a Project Leader and now as Senior Scientist at MLU, I know how confusing and overwhelming the first years can feel. This workshop combines real-life experience with science-based intercultural competence tools to support your successful integration into academic and everyday life in Germany.
The training is informed by established intercultural communication models and cultural adaptation research and focuses on practical application rather than theory.
In this workshop, you will learn how to:
- Navigate the German university and administrative systems
- Communicate clearly and professionally with professors and offices
- Write effective emails and confidently ask for support
- Understand cultural communication differences and avoid misunderstandings
- Manage stress and build confidence in daily academic life

Workshop Format
Practical exercises • role play • guided reflection • real-life examples • peer exchange • open Q&A

Der Workshop wird durchgeführt dank der Förderung von DAAD und BMFTR.
