Comment/Description

Angesichts von Klimawandel, zunehmender Ressourcenknappheit und regional äußerst ungleicher Arbeits- und Lebensbedingungen wird die Erwartung einer aktiven Übernahme von Verantwortung und eines Beitrags zur nachhaltigen Entwicklung zunehmend Teil von Selbstbeschreibungen, politischen Programmen, Regierungs- und Unternehmensstrategien und von politischen Appellen. Im Seminar werden die gesellschaftlichen Bedingungen, Manifestationen und Folgen eines solchen Transformationsdiskurses anhand aktueller Themen der soziologischen und sozialwissenschaftlichen Forschung diskutiert. In einem ersten Block werden ausgewählte dominante Problematisierungen des gesellschaftlichen Status Quo wie Anthropozän, kapitalistisches Wachstum oder Ökologie behandelt. Der zweite Block betrachtet die Manifestationen und Folgen der Umsetzung des Leitbilds der Nachhaltigkeit anhand soziologischer Studien aktuelle Themen wie Resilienz, Konsum und Lebensführung, Energiewende und zivilgesellschaftliche Gegenprojekte.
Achung: das Seminar endet bereits am 24.06.2022.
