Comment/Description

This seminar, conducted entirely in English, is designed for individuals comfortable with reading, discussing, and presenting in the English language. Participants will engage deeply with concepts such as implicit bias, stereotype threat, and systemic racism. Throughout the course, you will embark on self-reflection exercises aimed at developing a strong anti-racist identity.

You will explore strategies to develop culturally relevant curricula, adapt pedagogical practices, and foster a safe environment for meaningful discussions on race and identity. This seminar empowers educators to amplify student voices, involve families in the learning process, and embrace diversity as an asset.

By the end, you will have more skills to integrate social justice themes into their teaching, instilling a sense of activism and positive change in their educational communities. Through self-reflection, you will cultivate a deep understanding of your own biases and privileges, contributing to the development of an anti-racist educator identity that promotes equitable learning experiences for all students.
