Comment/Description

This seminar is dedicated to discussion of state-of-the art research methods in contemporary social sciences, especially in psychology and education science. By the end of this course, students will be familiar with various research methods used in social sciences and will possess the necessary skills to be able to interpret scientific findings from international research journals and apply those to their education practice. The seminars will be held in English, a German version of all the study material will be provided, the assignments can be submitted in German, communication with the instructor can also be done in German. Further language support will be provided if required.


In diesem Seminar werden aktuelle Forschungsmethoden in den zeitgenössischen Sozialwissenschaften, insbesondere in der Psychologie und Erziehungswissenschaft, diskutiert. Am Ende dieses Kurses sind die Studierenden mit verschiedenen Forschungsmethoden in den Sozialwissenschaften vertraut und verfügen über die notwendigen Fähigkeiten, um wissenschaftliche Veröffentlichungen aus internationalen Forschungsjournalen zu interpretieren und auf ihre pädagogische Praxis anzuwenden. Das Seminar wird in englischer Sprache abgehalten, eine deutsche Version aller Studienmaterialien wird zur Verfügung gestellt. Alle Aufgaben, sowie die Prüfung, können in deutscher Sprache eingereicht werden. Die Kommunikation mit dem Dozenten kann ebenfalls in deutscher Sprache erfolgen. Weitere sprachliche Unterstützung wird bei Bedarf angeboten.

  • A defined number of seats will be assigned to these courses.
    The seats in the affected courses have been assigned at 09.09.2025 on 10:00. Additional seats may be available via a waiting list.
  • Enrolment is allowed for up to 1 courses of the admission set.
