| Skills to be acquired in this module | Studierende erwerben vertiefende Kenntnisse aktueller theoretischer Positionen in der Ethnologie. Studierende erwerben die Fähigkeit zur Lektüre und Diskussion anspruchsvoller ethnologischer Texte in englischer Sprache. Studierende erwerben fortgeschrittene Fähigkeiten der wissenschaftlichen Argumentation und begründeten Einbindung theoretischer Positionen der Ethnologie. |
| Module contents | Der Advanced Course gibt einen Überblick über wichtige Theorierichtungen und systematische Teilbereiche des Faches. Dabei wird ein breites Spektrum von Theorien erarbeitet, welches beispielsweise Fragen der Sozialstruktur, Identität, Person, Macht, Globalisierung und Transnationalismus, sowie Religion, Wirtschaft, Raum und Materialität umfasst. Das Modul soll den internationalen Stand der Theoriearbeit und disziplinären Ausdifferenzierung vermitteln. |
