- Differentiate between forms of social structure using theories and data
- Reflect and evaluate interest conflicts in processes of internationalization
Module contents
  • a) Seminar: Formation of an international society In the seminar on internationalization basic concepts for the study of processes of internationalization as well as methods of data collection and analysis in this field are discussed. Special attendance is given to problems of international order; forms of governance; specificities of stratification and actors in the world society. The European Union and international organizations are analyzed. Current structural conflicts are discussed. b) Seminar: International comparison of societies Subject of this seminar are theories of comparative analysis of social structure as well as methods of international comparisons and their specific problems. Compared are, among others, education systems, relations between state and society, forms of firms and economic associations.
