Fähigkeit, die theoretischen Grundlagen der Sozialstruktur in den Kontext allgemeinsoziologischer Begriffs- und Theoriezusammenhänge zu stellen
Kenntnis der wichtigsten empirischen Größen und Parameter zu den zentralen Bereichen der Sozialstruktur der Bundesrepublik und anderer Teilgesellschaften der Welt
Kenntnis der wichtigsten Datenquellen der Sozialstrukturforschung und Kompetenz im Umgang damit
Kompetenzen in der eigenständigen, deskriptiven Analyse von sozialstrukturellen Sachverhalten und Zusammenhängen sowie der einfachen Auswertung von Daten der Sozialstrukturanalyse
Module contents
Gegenstand der Vorlesung ist die materiale Einführung in die Darstellung grundlegender Gesellschaftsbereiche. Im Modul werden dabei behandelt:
der Bevölkerungsprozess
Grundlagen sozialer Differenzierung und Ungleichheit
Kultur und Lebensführung
Die einzelnen Themen werden theoretisch eingebettet. Der Darstellung zentraler deutscher und international vergleichender Daten kommt in der Vorlesung ein großes Gewicht zu.
Gegenstand der Übung ist die eigenständige Recherche und Aktualisierung von überwiegend Daten der amtlichen Statistik. Dabei wird ein Überblick über die Daten der amtlichen Statistik gegeben. Zentraler inhaltlicher Gegenstand ist der reflektierte Umgang mit Daten der amtlichen Statistik. Dies beinhaltet auch eine Einführung in eine reflektierte Verwendung von Internet-Recherchen.
