Comment/Description

Vor 1700 Jahren, also im Jahr 325, fand das erste Ökumenische Konzil der Christenheit in Nicäa statt, das bis heute bei den meisten christlichen Kirchen Gültigkeit hat. Anlass war der sogenannte Arianische Streit, bei dem es um die gottmenschliche Natur des Erlösers und also um die Christologie ging. Durchgesetzt haben sich die Ergebnisse des Konzils dann auf dem zweiten Ökumenischen Konzil von Konstantinopel 381, auf dem das Bekenntnis von Nicäa bestätigt und erweitert wurde. In dieser Form ist es in viele Liturgien – auch in den evangelischen Kirchen und in ihre Bekenntnisschriften – eingegangen. Wir wollen aus Anlass des Jubiläums an diesem ökumenischen Bekenntnis entlanggehen und dabei die wesentlichen Inhalte der christlichen Glaubenslehre durch die Geschichte nachverfolgen und aus zeitgenössischer evangelischer Perspektive kritisch reflektieren. Dabei werden wir alle traditionellen Lehrstücke der Dogmatik kursorisch behandeln.
