Comment/Description

The aim of this course is to develop students' writing skills to advanced level. We will begin with a focus on paragraph structure and progress to the production of longer texts, practising the controlled use of language and developing the range of vocabulary and structures students can use appropriately. There will be exercises on the use of cohesive devices, register and certain aspects of grammar, including the use of tenses. The conventions of writing formal letters will also be covered. There will be an element of creative writing.
