Comment/Description

This course deals mainly with economic confrontations which go beyond the socially desired competition paradigm. We will analyse economic wars on the macro level (states) and the micro level (firms). This course will use several theories and concepts, you should be familiar with. It is very comprehensive, and therefore we recommended you to have attended the most basic classes like Microeconomics I and International Economics.
This course is also structured a little bit different from what you are used to. The tutorial will be interactive and we will demand you to read several papers for preparation.
To successfully complete the course you have to pass a term paper (a short seminar paper of about 7 pages) and an exam. In case you have registered for the term paper, you do not have time to sign out until 7 days before the deadline, but only 14 days after you have registered for the paper.
The course is restricted to 30 participants. In case you do not want to participate anymore, please sign out.
- If you study economics/business with less than 120 ECTS you are not able to impute the course.
- If you study Information management for business (Wirtschaftsinformatik) you are also not able to impute the course.
