The aim of this course is to develop students' writing skills to an advanced level. We will begin with a focus on paragraph structure, and then progress to the structuring and production of longer texts, practising the controlled use of language and extending the range of vocabulary and structures students can use appropriately. There will be exercises on the use of cohesive devices, register and certain aspects of grammar, including the use of tenses. A further element of the course will involve students creating a short story.
