Sonstiges |
Goal of this excursion is to learn about different groups of fungi, their ecology and how to find and identify them. Be it either the big and sometimes tasty mycorrhizal fungi, tiny pathogens on leaves or weird saprotrophs hiding in the leaf litter - fungi are omnipresent and often overlooked and this excursion is about finding them and enjoying nature. Fun Fact: In previous years parts of the collected material has been put into our collection. This year part of the collected material will be stored for several small experiments regarding fungal traits, fungal spectroscopy and fungal interactions (molecular work). If any of the participating students want to get involved or conduct a research internship (FGP) as they are intended for the Masters Biology and Biodiversity on this material feel free to contact Michael Köhler. |
