Course outline:

This lecture course will give an overview of the system of English Grammar by providing both a descriptive coverage of English Grammar in use and an introduction to the major theoretical issues at stake in the study of languages. We will cover the essentials of English morpho-syntax and also differences in the use of grammatical patterns in spoken and written English.
