Kommentar/Beschreibung

This seminar is a part of the AM Englische Literatur II.
This course uses a small anthology of nature poetry, recently published by the National Trust, as an introduction into a genre which is firmly part of the history of English literature. Please obtain the above editions, as we will not only analyse and discuss a range of poems (choosing various authors and forms from the 15th to 21st century) but also consider such questions as canonization, or the editorial choices of presentation and grouping in the anthology. We will also discuss, how various critical approaches consider these texts and incude an eco-critical perspective.
