This tutorial, which is designed to be taken along with the lecture "Basismodul:
Literaturwissenschaft (FSQ integrativ)", is intended to apply the knowledge you have gained
in that lecture. Based on a selection of British poems, a prose text and a drama, you will be
able to develop and hone your skills in analyzing and interpreting literary texts both
generically and historically. You will also read a few pieces of literary criticism to familiarize
yourself with scholarly texts and thought. In addition, this tutorial offers an introduction to
research techniques you cannot get by without.
The class is taught in English. Students are encouraged to attend regularly and participate
actively. Please note that you have to sign up to only one tutorial via Stud.IP in order to be
allotted a place.

with the course participants for reasons of preparation and administration.
