Comment/Description

The course aims at providing an introduction to the principles and rules of Italian private law in a comparative perspective. In particular, the knowledge of the fundamental institutions of private law and the understanding of their general principles will be provided to the students. The following topics are the subject of particular attention: the distinction between private and public law; the sources; natural and legal persons; property and possession; obligations and contracts; non-contractual liability; family. The most relevant issues will be discussed during the lessons, with particular reference to new legislation and the most recent and significant case law. The course can be attended by non-law students, regardless of the semester enrollment. Classes will be taught in Italian or English, depending on the composition of the class.

Der Kurs zielt darauf ab, die Grundsätze und Regeln des italienischen Privatrechts rechtsvergleichend zu skizzieren. Insbesondere werden hierbei Kenntnisse über die grundlegenden Privatrechtsinstitute und ihrer allgemeinen Grundsätze vermittelt. Folgende Themen sind Gegenstand der Darstellung: der Unterschied zwischen privaten und öffentlichen Rechts; Rechtsquellen; natürliche und juristische Personen; Eigentum und Besitz; Verpflichtungen und Verträge; Deliktsrecht; Familienrecht. Während der Vorlesung werden die wichtigsten Fragen des italienischen Privatrechts gezielt angesprochen, einschließlich der rechtlichen Neuerungen und der bedeutender Rechtsprechung. Die Vorlesung kann auch von Nicht-Juristen besucht werden, Studenten aller Semester sind willkommen, Vorkenntnisse werden nicht benötigt. Die Vorlesung wird auf Italienisch gehalten oder auf Englisch, abhängig von der Zusammensetzung der Hörer.
