Comment/Description

This is an introductory course in creative writing. We will be reading and writing poetry and a short creative non-fiction story. Students will learn several basic skills for non-academic writing, how to read as a writer, and how to criticize other's work so as to understand how better to improve their own.

Large parts of this class will be conducted in a workshop style. Students may write/rewrite short assignments on a weekly basis. Full participation and attendance is expected.
