Course Outline:
This seminar addresses two different target groups, namely advanced students preparing for their final examination, and post-graduate students doing research.
Thus, on the one hand we shall be discussing matters of English-language linguistics that are relevant in preparing for the upcoming examinations. Apart from central issues in English linguistics, study techniques that may be helpful for the oral and/or written final examination will be dealt with.
On the other hand, the colloquium offers the possibility to present and discuss ongoing research in English-language linguistics ranging from state examination-/ master- or diploma theses to larger projects such as PhD- or post-doctoral theses.
