In this course we will read the novel The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, which is widely considered his finest work and which is quite possibly the supreme American novel. It is a tale of adultery, hard drinking, fast driving and finally murder, but also of the power of dreams.
We will use the novel primarily as a basis for vocabulary extension, but also for discussion of topics related to the content.
Participants are not expected to have read the novel before the course begins.
