This is a Chinese Mandarin course for students who have finidhed the A.1 class. In this course the students will be introduced to the basic elements of Chinese, including introduction of phonetic system and daily expressions. Selected topics and situations come from real life scenarios and can be used for everyday communications. After taking this class, students will have a basic understanding of Chinese Mandarin and make basic conversations of daily living such as exchanging basic personal information, talking about daily arrangements, and asking about price etc. In order to stimulate the learners’ interests. This is an elementary course mainly focus on Chinese listening and speaking.
Final grades include: homework, participation, final examination.
The course is taught in Chinese and English.
