Homework is a requirement of this course. Persuasive arguments not submitted for correction prior to presentation day will not be allowed.

This course should be of assistance to law students but the enrollment is open to all.
This course is designed to teach students how to build structured arguments, process information in real time, and express themselves in a formal debate setting using the English language.
Each week's class will be built around dissecting arguments, building counter arguments and effective rhetorical tools. The first half of the course will see the students building persuasive arguments and presenting them to the class. These arguments will be pre-written and can only be presented after timely submission as homework, which will be corrected by the teacher. The topics will be built upon semi-weekly reading assignments. News of the day, as well as, more advanced issues will be dealt with.
