It is not obligatory to attend all three courses "Natural Resources, Agricultural- and Environmental Policy I, II and II nor in any specific order.

Students are able to:

• Identify and move confidently along the historical perspectives of rural development,
• Distinguish between agricultural development models,
• Understand the role of agriculture in the overall rural development,
• Structure the principles and practices of agroecology, and their implications for sus-tainable agricultural systems, rural development, and food sovereignty,
• Critically analyse the governance structures, policies, and institutional frameworks that support or hinder agroecological practices and rural change, considering tenure security, gender perspectives, and local-global dynamics,
• Assess the role of innovation in driving rural change, including the adoption of new technologies, practices, and policies that support sustainable and equitable agricultural development,
• Evaluate technical solutions and innovative approaches to planning agricultural sys-tems also in real life case studies,
• Develop own conceptualization over complexity, knowledge, power systems.
