This course is designed for students who enjoy reading and discussing literature. We will cover a wide range of periods and genres, from Shakespeare's The Tempest to Jean Rhys's Wide Sargasso Sea, exploring the possibilities of giving account and telling stories and the influence of different perspectives. As we engage with our chosen materials, we will work on academic techniques and strategies for analysing literary texts.
