Kommentar/Beschreibung

The lectures cover the basic theory and empirical analysis of the balance of payments, exchange rate determination, international policy coordination and the international capital market.
The tutorials discuss the recent global financial developments (news and events) relevant to the lectures, and teach data search and analysis to assist potential research projects.
The study of this course can help generate an understanding of many policy issues and key events that shape the domestic and international financial environment, such as the exchange rate regime reform, capital account liberalization, currency unions and the sovereign debt defaults.
