The World Trade Organisation Law Moot Court is a highly realistic simulation of an actual international legal dispute settlement proceeding on international trade law. This prestigious competition, held under the auspices of ELSA and the WTO, presents participants with a unique and rare opportunity to experience the cutting-edge field of international economic law in practice. Successful course applicants will receive individual tailor-made instruction on WTO law, legal drafting as well as advocacy and litigation technique. Successful applicants for this high-profile academic event will also enjoy the benefit of a special training workshop with international law firm Linklaters in Frankfurt , and (conditional on qualification) an all-expenses paid trip to the WTO Headquarters for the Finals of this competition in Geneva , Switzerland .
Additionally, the WTO Moot Court confers on its participants the following (i) Sprachschein (ii) Seminarschein (iii) 4 Credit Points for the LL.M. in International Economic Law at MLU and (iv) Ample opportunity for obtaining an internship at Linklaters in Frankfurt .
Pre-requisites:
Application for auditions to qualify as a team member are open to all law students.
An intermediate competency in English is strongly recommended.
